- Do I need to send a small photo?
If you send the photo to us by post, you can send any size of photo, from passport size up to A4 size photo.
If by email, we can read digital files in Jpeg or bmp format. Preferably the resolution of the picture is 300dpi or higher. Photo taken from a digital camera is accepted. <up>
- How long will it take to receive my product?
7-14 working days delivery applied from the time your order is received. <up>
- Will my photo get returned to me later on?
We will send your photo back in the exact condition it was given along with your completed order. For safety reasons, please remember to write your name and telephone number on the back of your photograph. <up>
- How long will the engraving last? How do I look after the pendants and key rings?
The engraving is permanently engraved however the durability depends on the metal surface. For plating items such as nickel plated and gold plated pendants and key rings, we strongly recommended avoiding contact with sharp metals, water, sea water, perfume spray and aftershave chemicals. The moisture and chemicals may tarnish the plating and reduce the image quality. Furthermore, after continuous wear, you may notice the image may appear to fade. This is due to the build up of dirt particles accumulated from your skin. To remove the dirt build up, use a clean tooth brush and gently scrub the pendant under warm running water. Regularly clean with a jewellery cloth is recommended.

- How is the engraving done?
A specialized machine uses a diamond tipped stylus to mark the surface of metal or acrylic, creating intricate depressions. The finished product is delicate images with unique holographic effects. <up>

- Can I add a writing?
Yes, we can do on the same side of the engraved picture, or on the back of it. The cost for putting writing is A$4 per item - up to 8 words. (Note: A$1 extra for each word after 8 words). <up>
- Will the engraving look better on the gold colour or the silver colour products?
The engraving will turn out equally well on either colour. It is simply a matter of personal preference. <up>
- What photographs are suitable for engraving?
We recommended that the photograph you pick is one of good clarity with clean, sharp lines. It doesn't matter if the photograph is big or small, black and white, or colour. REMEMBER, when choosing a photo, a high quality photo will translate to a high quality photo engraving. Generally, if the photo is slightly blurred, or if the photo paper is scratched or dimpled, these deficiencies will also appear on the engraving as well. <up>
- How will my photo be cropped?
Your images will be automatically cropped to show the face and neck area unless otherwise noted. If any merging of different images is required, please specify the instructions. Please check the price list for the additional charges for these services (refer to Question 11 or 12).<up>
- Will it be possible for the photo to be engraved without the background.. just the person?

What exactly is an image merge (combine separate photo) and why is there an extra charge?
An image merge is sometimes required in a photo where two or more people in that photo must be engraved, and they are too far away from each other in order to make an acceptable engraving. Generally, the further apart the people are in the photo, the smaller they will appear on the pendant, since there would be some empty space separating them.
Another type of image merge is the cropping and merging of two or more images from two or more different photos. Once complete, these merging procedures are virtually undetectable on your photo pendant, as they are edited by our team of qualified computer graphics specialists.
We currently require a modest extra fee of A$10 per image merge. <up>
